What to Expect

1. Check in at the Ranch Tour Office, 235 Kipu Road, about 20 minutes from Lihue Airport, with a physical license for each driver and a credit card to leave on file.
2. Complete the instruction and practice session in the yard before the convoy leaves.
3. Drive through open pasture with cattle, then descend into the Huleia Valley and climb under the rainforest canopy, passing wild coffee, bamboo and ginger.
4. Stop at film sites from Jurassic Park, Mighty Joe Young, Lilo & Stitch and The Descendants while the guide covers ranch history from Hawaiian royalty through the sugar era.
5. Finish with views of Mount Haupu and a light snack before returning to the office about 3 hours after the start.
