What to Expect

1. Check in at the Waikiki Beach Services desk on the sand at the Royal Hawaiian 10 to 15 minutes before departure, with the online waiver signed.
2. Receive a short briefing on paddling strokes and safety from the two captains; four guests paddle and two ride as passengers in each canoe.
3. Paddle out with the crew to the surf break off Waikiki, where the captains position the canoe for incoming swells.
4. Ride waves back toward shore repeatedly for the hour; one reviewer we read on VELTRA (April 2022) counted at least 6 waves on this charter.
5. Return to the beach desk, where photos and video shot by the beach team can be purchased if arranged in advance.

Restrictions and Requirements

• Minimum age 5; children must be held by a parent or legal guardian during the ride

• Guests under 18 need an adult (18+) to check them in, watch from the beach and pick them up; a parent or guardian signs the waiver online
• Guests under the influence of alcohol are not permitted
• Not wheelchair accessible
• Canoe operations may be suspended in large surf or unsafe ocean conditions

Cancellation Policy

The operator's site does not publish a cancellation policy. On Greetwell, cancel at least 48 hours before the charter for a refund; no-shows and cancellations inside 48 hours are not refunded and refunds take up to 10 business days.
