Overview
The Pink Sails Waikiki Sunset Splash is a 2-hour Waikiki sunset sail from Ala Wai Harbor with an optional open-water swim, $56 per guest age 4 and up. It suits couples and families wanting a casual catamaran with a cash bar and music, not a dinner cruise. The drawback: only soda, water and snacks are included, and swimmers need basic skills.
Highlights
- About 2 hours along the Waikiki coastline with the boat stopping for an optional swim; snorkel gear is not allowed for safety, but a flotation belt is provided.
- $56 per guest age 4 and up, children 3 and under free; kamaaina rates by phone at 808-201-3605. Greetwell listed a Waikiki sunset cruise from $64 in October 2026.
- Departs 5:00 PM from February 1 to September 30; the operator does not publish the October-to-January start, so check your confirmation.
- Sodas, juice, water and light snacks are provided; alcohol is sold on board and outside alcohol is banned.
- Operator rated 4.8 from about 5,500 reviews on Greetwell (mirroring its Google count) as of October 2026.
What to Expect
- You check in 30 minutes before departure at 1 Holomoana Street, just west of the Prince Waikiki valet area, under the large Pink Sails banner.
- You board one of the operator's catamarans (the 55-foot sailing cat Kealoha or a 50-to-65-foot power cat) and leave Ala Wai Harbor along the Waikiki shoreline.
- The crew anchors or drifts for an open-water swim; swimming is optional, basic swimming skills are required, and a flotation belt is handed out.
- You sail back toward Diamond Head as the sun sets, with music and a cash bar; restrooms are on every boat.
- You return to the harbor about 2 hours after departure, around sunset.
