Overview
The USS Arizona Memorial narrated tour from Pacific Historic Parks is a 29-stop, 2-hour self-guided audio guide from $7.50, narrated by Jamie Lee Curtis, survivors and NPS historians in 9 languages. It suits visitors wanting context at the museums and on the Memorial. The drawback: it is a recorded device, not a live guide, and excludes the boat.
Highlights
- 29 narrated stops across the Visitor Center's two museums, the shoreline Path of Attack and, for boat-ticket holders, aboard the USS Arizona Memorial itself.
- About 2 hours of self-paced content; Tripster lists 30-minute, 60-minute and unlimited (about 4.5 hours) versions of the same narration.
- Available in English, French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Korean and Mandarin with the 23-minute NPS film translated, plus Russian and Italian without film translation.
- From $7.50 per participant on the Best of Hawaii Rezdy listing and $10 on Tripster and Civitatis as of October 2026; free parking is listed on Rezdy.
- Rated 4.6 from 19 reviews on Tiqets, 4.8 from 4 TripAdvisor reviews on Tripster and 7.1/10 from 21 reviews on Civitatis as of October 2026.
What to Expect
- You arrive at 1 Arizona Memorial Road, Honolulu, HI 96818, store any bag for $5 outside the gate and enter with only a wallet, phone, camera and water.
- You present your confirmation at the Narrated Tour desk in the Visitor Center courtyard; if you hold a boat ticket, check in at least 1 hour before your departure or the slot may go to standby guests.
- You receive the device and map and work through the numbered stops in the Road to War and Attack galleries at your own pace.
- You follow the shoreline Path of Attack stops overlooking Battleship Row while waiting for a boat slot, if you have one.
- With a boat ticket, you watch the 23-minute film, take the Navy shuttle and use the device's narration on the Memorial; without one, the tour ends on shore.
- You return the device at the desk; the ticket is valid all day between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM on the reservation date.
