Overview
The Pearl Harbor Deluxe Combo from Pacific Historic Parks pairs the self-guided Captain's multimedia tour (28 to 29 narrated stops, 60 to 90 minutes) with one of four VR films for $16.99 to $22.26 depending on seller. It suits visitors without a boat ticket who want context on shore. The drawback: the USS Arizona boat ride is not included.
Highlights
- Self-guided multimedia tour with 28 to 29 stops narrated by Jamie Lee Curtis, Pearl Harbor survivors and National Park Service historians, covering both museums and the shoreline Path of Attack.
- One VR experience of your choice: Air Raid Pearl Harbor, Skies Over Pearl, Walk the Deck of the USS Arizona or Explore the USS Arizona Today.
- Handheld device, map and take-home earbuds included; audio in 9 languages, though the VR is English only.
- Priced from $16.99 on the operator's site, $21 on Viator via To-Hawaii, $22.26 on Greetwell and $14.02 on FunEx as of October 2026.
- Check-in at the Visitor Center tour desk between 7:00 AM and 3:00 or 3:30 PM; the ticket is for the day, not a fixed slot.
What to Expect
- You arrive at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center at 1 Arizona Memorial Place, leave any bag in the paid storage ($5 to $7 per bag depending on the source) and pass security with only a wallet, phone, camera and water.
- You check in at the USS Arizona Memorial Narrated Tour desk in the courtyard with your printed or digital confirmation, between 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM for combo tickets.
- A staff member hands you the multimedia device, a map and earbuds, and explains how to use the numbered stops.
- You walk the two museums and the shoreline at your own pace; the Captain's tier holds about 70 minutes of narration plus 4.5 hours of optional archives.
- If you hold a separate $1 recreation.gov boat ticket or get a standby slot, the device also narrates aboard the USS Arizona Memorial.
- You return to the Virtual Reality Center, inside the main entrance, for your chosen 10-to-15-minute VR film; the VR Center runs roughly 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
