Overview
The Umauma Falls zipline swim combo, sold as Zip N Dip, pairs the 9-line zipline over Umauma Falls with about an hour of swimming, kayaking and paddleboarding in a private river pool, plus catered lunch, for $341.50 per adult plus tax. It suits active families with kids 4 and up on the Hamakua Coast. The drawback: waits between lines in big groups.
Highlights
- $341.50 adult and $321 child plus taxes and fees on the operator site; $378 on Greetwell, as of October 2026. Buying the 9-line zipline ($249) and the swim ($92.50) separately costs $341.50, so the combo's gain is the lunch and single check-in.
- Daily 10:00 am start with 9:15 am check-in; zipline about 10 am–12 pm, swim and kayak 12:30–2:30 pm per the operator FAQ.
- 9 ziplines reaching up to 65 mph over 14 waterfalls, with suspension bridges and ocean views, then a 70-ft-deep waterfall pool.
- Catered lunch is delivered to a private pavilion beside the falls by utility zipline; rain gear is provided in wet weather.
- Weight limit 35–275 lb, minimum age 4; not permitted for pregnant guests or anyone with a prior back or neck injury.
What to Expect
- You check in at the visitor center at 9:15 am, sign waivers, and are weighed and fitted with a harness; closed-toe shoes are required.
- Guides run a ground school, then the group rides the 9-line course, crossing suspension bridges between platforms, with rain shelters on each platform.
- The zipline portion takes 1.5–3 hours depending on group size; larger groups wait longer between lines.
- Around 12:30 pm you move to the private river section, where a catered lunch is sent down to the pavilion by a utility zipline.
- You spend about an hour swimming in the waterfall pool, kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding, with staff at the swim area.
- You are back at the visitor center by about 2:30 pm.
